Objectives
- Reduce CB Group’s energy costs.

Challenges
- Geotechnical tests revealed unsuitable soil in part of the site, requiring removal and replacement.
- Installing high-voltage interconnection cables required careful excavation under existing services while keeping Caribbean Broilers’ operations running.
Solution
- Replaced unsuitable soil with engineered crushed marl to create a stable foundation for the solar plant.
- Conducted a geophysical survey with ground-penetrating radar (GPR) to accurately locate underground services.
- Used manual excavation techniques to safely install high-voltage cables, minimizing risks to existing services and avoiding disruptions to operations.
