Soleco Energy awarded USAID grant

Soleco Energy awarded USAID grant to scale pioneering model for financing and implementing renewable energy solutions.

Soleco Energy Limited (“Soleco”) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded nearly $900,000 in funding from the United States Agency for International Development (“USAID”) through the Caribbean Climate Investment Program.

With the USAID grant, Soleco will enhance its strategic business plan and mobilize capital for bringing solar energy and storage solutions to Jamaican companies. Founded in 2019, Soleco is pioneering the use of creative financing structures to promote the adoption of clean energy technologies in Jamaica. With a focus on the commercial and industrial sector, Soleco develops greenfield distributed energy generation projects, supporting clients with project design, financing, operations, and maintenance.
